Hello Friends, There are plenty of good reasons for not being active as a college student. I mean, with a full schedule, clubs, and work on top of that, it seems like it's impossible to squeeze exercise in our busy lives. Besides even if you did plan to go to the gym before you left the house, by the time the day is over you don't feel like doing anything but taking a nap. I know the feeling, so here are some useful tips on how to fit activity into busy day with low budget.
Aerobic activity burns calories, reduces body fat, and gives you more energy. How to fit:- Cut back on TV watching by 15%, use the time to move (even if it's doing dishes or cleaning your car) - Take a short 10 minute walk before you sit down to study. It amazes me how little time we spend outside these days. Go out there, it's beautiful! - Take stairs instead of elevators wherever you go. Elevators take forever anyway. - Bring study materials while you ride a stationary bike or use Stairmaster - When walking, listen to a recording of your lecture or a book- Take a study break and turn on your favorite music. Move in place. - During commercials, stand up and do some brief activity - Organize your books so you don't have to carry as much stuff and park far away. Walking is a simple way to get fit. Exercise is a good stress reliever and it's addicting!
Once you start being active you will feel more energized and feel better about yourself. One thing I did notice is that people tend to actually have less energy in their first week of being active. It is normal, your body is adjusting to a new healthier you. See you soon,
