Hopefully all of us have heard, in some way or another, about Alice in Wonderland. This wonderful story is full of fruitful imagination and extraordinary characters. As a child I read the story and I loved it. Recently, however, I re-read it again, as an adult...an oh boy, it's a whole new story!Instead of my philosophical babble, I found some quotes from Alice in Wonderland that you might enjoy. Read On My friends: 'That's nothing to what I could say if I chose,' the Duchess replied, in a pleased tone. 'I wonder if I've been changed in the night? Let me think: was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different But if I'm not the same, the next question is 'Who in the world am I?' Ah, that's the great puzzle!"'If it had grown up,' she said to herself, 'it would have made a dreadfully ugly child; but it makes rather a handsome pig, I think.'" 'That's the reason they're called lessons, because they lessen from day to day. ' "The White Queen: 'Can you do addition? What's one and one and one and one and one and one and one and one and one and one? ' Alice: 'I don't know. I lost count.'" MY FAVORITES: "Alice: But I don't want to go among mad people. The Cat: Oh, you can't help that" "Mad Hatter: No wonder you're late. Why, this watch is exactly two days slow." Alice falls down the rabbit hole and her dress poofs up like a parachute "Alice: Well, after this I should think nothing of falling down stairs" I hope you, as I, see Alice in Wonderland in a whole different light. No wonder it was written by a mathematician. See you soon, Labels: books. fun, philosophy, quotes |
